Hello from Athens!

I’m here! It’s been amazing so far. Everything is so fresh, there’s so much variety and the people are all so nice. I love it!

I have already had a couple days at the workshop and I couldn’t be happier. The workshop is compact but full of tools, equipment and there’s a hearth! And the in-house jeweller Alkistis is lovely. In fact, all of the staff at the museum have been nothing but welcoming. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend these next few months in.

There is an Ancient Greek word: Eudaimonia. It is a Greek concept, and refers to living a deeply meaningful life guided by values and purpose, rather than chasing fleeting happiness. It focuses on character, long-term fulfilment, and becoming one’s best self through consistent, honest actions and personal growth. This way of living nurtures inner contentment and a lasting sense of worth (taken from The Economic Times). In this short time, I have already learnt a lot about myself, the habits that have changed and new ones and, I am beginning to learn what a healthy balance between work and time for myself looks like - my slow start to achieving this.
